I saw CPO status for my EAD status (WIFE'S Status still pending)
My receipt date was 7th July
Also, I485 pending at NSC...WAC receipt

Yes, u r lawyer is right. It is fine to skip.
Hi - I currently have my H1B(H4 for my wife) valid till Mar 2011 and EAD expires on 10/15/08.
Can I skip the renewal process for now and apply for EAD later?
My lawyer says it is OK to skip for now and apply for EAD/AP anytime as long as I-485 is pending.
Please advise.

This is my first post here. Even though I've been a member for sometime, I wasn't even aware of these forums. When the July VB fiasco happened, I stumbled upon these forums and I was glued throughout the entire saga. U know what, IV was the only one who gave me any kind of HOPE. I am so thankful for what the IV core has done for us.
Its a shame that we all sit quietly and let someone else pay for our problems. After all, most of us have decent paying jobs here. So I too will pledge $ 100 and I am also going to contribute twds IV's cause.........
I hope more ppl will come forward and do the same.
Yes you are correct. We all have decent paying jobs and $100 is nothing compared to $64000. I hope more folks like you join this humble cause. Can the spread sheet be updated and posted again so that we can track it.

It took more or less 30 days to process my filing, and hopefully you will see that happening as well.

I140 or H1-B is another story, but, I485 is solely your application. You are entitled to talk to the attorney who sent your application (and put his/her name as a contact to USCIS) BY LAW. For I485 he/she is representing you, thus have to reply to your inquiries. It might even be ILLEGAL for the attorney to give info about your I485 to your employer.
How you can make your employer convinced about this? You might show evidence. Your initial aggrement with the attorney will help, too.
Too much of patience needed for this. My lawyer sent the papers on july 2nd. Still no word about the Receipt notice. I can see an LUD on July 28th on my approved I140. my 140 starts with SRC.... Anyone similar to my case.
Sub. Labor - Priority date aug 5th 2004.
